DTS is over... now what?

Our latest discipleship training school graduated and we had the privilege of comissioning 15 trainees into the world equipped to be missionaries. Some have gone to study, others back into their careers and a few are coming back for more training!

Walking alongside these guys for 6 months I know that the experiences they had and what they have learnt has made a lasting impact on them and I'm confident they will be walking with and representing Jesus in their every day life.

After returning from two months in the middle east we had a little break to process and plan for the next quarter on the base. Next year we will be leading the same DTS in April and we are already excited for all that God wants to do and for all the trainees we are going to meet.

So what are we doing until then?

Jonas continues to faithfully serve the base doing property maintenance, I have joined the team here renovating and preparing rooms for our short term accommodation where we have all our guests stay.

We have both joined the Pottery team here on a more official capacity and work behind the scenes doing practical serving swell as supporting others in their creative processes as they come to do pottery. We have people coming referred to by their GP's and through a mental health organisation they come to the pottery weekly to creatively process what they are going through. We are often hearing stories of how much the pottery has helped them get through some of the toughest times of their lives. Jonas and I will be part of a team leading these sessions weekly.

We also continue to prepare for the school praying, planning and dreaming.

A little bit of fun here we had our annual apple festival on the base. It is so much fun, the who community comes together to work to put on a big festival for the community, we have market stalls, games, music, food, tours, tractor rides all sorts. This year the pottery crew made bunch of things to sell to raise money for the pottery and we had a great time! My family came to visit also which I love.
